Partner event: Plant a Monarch Butterfly Waystation

  • Blue Ridge Center 11661 Harpers Ferry Rd Purcellville, VA

Monarch Waystations provide resources necessary for Monarch butterflies to sustain their migration from winter habitats in Mexico to spring and summer breeding areas in the northern United States and Canada.

Join the Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy in creating a Monarch waystation at the Blue Ridge Center's visitor center. The Blue Ridge Center is known for its great butterfly and wildlife habitat and this Monarch Waystation will not only add to that richness but also provide a demonstration garden for visitors to look to in developing their own gardens. Bring work gloves and a spade and help plant a bounty of milkweed and nectar plants!

Please RSVP on the signup page (http://www.loudounwildlife.org/SignUp.htm) if you are able to support this project. Questions: Contact Nicole Hamilton at hamilton@loudounwildlife.org.
