Native Planting at Glen Echo

  • Glen Echo Park 7300 MacArthur Blvd Glen Echo, Maryland 20812 (map)

On May 3rd, come out and help Potomac Conservancy’s Chesapeake Conservation Corps fellow, Rebecca, with her capstone project’s native planting event! From 10am to 3pm, volunteers will be assisting National Park Service staff at Glen Echo Park in the first phases of revitalizing the park and making it more Potomac and environmentally friendly! Volunteers will prepare the land then plant native plant species for a pollinator garden! This pollinator garden will attract and sustain local butterfly and bee populations, while also providing the land with native plants to reduce polluted runoff in to the Potomac! Please email Rebecca at long@potomac.org to reserve your spot today, lunch will be provided!
