Partner Event: 2016 Centennial Kick-off Service Day
The National Park Service's centennial is here, and the Park Service wants to encourage everyone to take part in the celebration! Find your park by volunteering and giving back to your community this spring!
NPS is looking for volunteers to come out to Daingerfield Island Saturday April 23rd. Volunteer groups will depart to prospective service locations, either onsite or at nearby areas.
Most organized service projects will be located along the south part of the parkway and will include everything from paintings, trash clean-up, invasive weed removal, bench work and frames, pruning and roving parkland areas. All participants will be picked up and gathered back together for a closing ceremony.
