As a nonprofit organization, Potomac Conservancy depends on the generosity of our members (become one today!) and local businesses to support our mission to make the Potomac a healthy, thriving river.

Check out these 7 businesses that are showing their Potomac Pride by supporting over 1,500 volunteers and paddlers to remove over 10-tons of trash, plant native trees, and collect native seeds for future plantings!

CoStar Group

We can count on CoStar employees to be a regular presence at our paddles, clean ups, and tree plantings. CoStar Group helps enable all of our work by sponsoring a river cleanup, an Alternative Happy Hour Paddle, our Growing Native seed collection, AND were responsible for planting 200 native trees and shrubs with our partners NOVA Parks, along the Washington & Old Dominion trail in Arlington, Virginia. Wow! Now that is Potomac Pride!

HydroFlask

As a part of their Parks for All program, HydroFlask helped underwrite all of our Alternative Happy Hour paddles, allowing 500 paddlers to experience an evening of fun on the Potomac for only 10 bucks each! But that’s not all. You may have seen the gorgeous HydroFlask water bottles with our Potomac Conservancy logo while out on the trail. HydroFlask wants to help other enable our clean water work by providing these awesome bottles as a perk of becoming a monthly donor at $5 a month or more. Get yours today!

Venable

Our friends at Venable LLP have been a steady supporter of our clean water programs for 12 years! Last year, Venable made their largest investment yet, helping make all of our community programs possible this year. Thanks to the team at Venable, over 1,000 Potomac Conservancy volunteers collected over 20,000 pounds of trash!

Entertainment Cruises

Our newest partners, Entertainment Cruises showed off their Potomac Pride in a big way! In addition to sponsoring cleanups and paddles, Entertainment Cruises recently treated 100 volunteers and paddlers to a sunset cruise on the Potomac in one of their Water Taxis. They even bought our guests their first drink!

MOM’s Organic Market

For the fifth year in a row MOM’s Organic Market has helped make our work possible. Sponsoring our Big 4 Days of Service (Martin Luther King Jr Day, the Potomac Watershed Cleanup, National Trails Day, and National Public Lands Day), MOM’s helped 380 volunteers prevent nearly 4,500 pounds of trash from entering the Potomac.

JBG Smith

JBG Smith not only helped support our community volunteers at events throughout the year, but also arranged for an employee day of service through their JBG Cares program. If that wasn’t enough, JBG Smith also arranged a Walk and Learn event for tenants at National Landing to learn more about the Potomac, its successes, challenges, and what they can do to help.

Northrop Grumman

Northrop Grumman supports all of our Community Conservation events throughout the year, from seed collections to tree plantings and trash removals. We couldn’t do it without them. And here’s the best part, they’ve been our steadfast partner for 9 years!
