Together, we’ll raise our glasses to the Potomac River’s exciting comeback and renew our commitment to protecting our local lands and waters.

Enjoy delicious food and drink and relish the company of friends, colleagues, and partners in the fight for a clean and healthy Potomac River! The Take Me To The River Celebration empowers local progress for a clean and healthy Potomac River. Over 5 million of us depend on the Potomac River’s spectacular environmental and recreational values and rely on the river for our drinking water.

Funds raised through Take Me To The River 2018 will:

  • Accelerate water quality protection at the local level
  • Clean up shorelines along the DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland’s riverfront, plant trees, and restore streamside habitat
  • Expand opportunities to welcome 1,000 volunteers and program participants this year
