Join the Friends of Sligo Creek and Dr. David Blockstein to experience "The Passenger Pigeon: what we can learn from a century-old extinction."

On the 100th anniversary of the extinction of the passenger pigeon, David Blockstein will talk about the amazing passenger pigeon, its extinction, what we can learn from its demise, and lessons for today. Dr. Blockstein is a leader in Project Passenger Pigeon. He is a member of Friends of Sligo Creek and the Senior Scientist at the National Council for Science and the Environment.

This event is in downtown Silver Spring, MD at the Civic Building at Veteran's plaza.
