Partner event: Family Oriented Birding Class

Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy's Youth Environmental Education Committee will conduct a series of three classes (March 8, 22 and April 5) to introduce participants to the intriguing pastime of birding. These two hour session (9:30-11:30) will help beginners develop the knowledge and skills necessary to become more comfortable with participating in LWC's monthly bird walks and surveys.

Session one will be primarily indoors and focus attention on identification skills, binocular choice and use, as well as other accessories available to improve one's birding experience. Sessions two and three will be held outdoors at locations where we can practice identifications and enjoy some wonderful and productive birding locations. Classes will be family oriented towards ages from 8 to 80; spaces will be limited and some binoculars will be available for use during classes. Registration is required by March 5. Sign Up Online.
