PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ENVIRONMENT: JANUARY 21, 2015, 7:30 PM
Now's your chance to speak up for clean water and healthy lands in your community!
Each year, Fairfax County Environmental Quality Advisory Council (EQAC) holds a public hearing to obtain input on issues of environmental concern. EQAC encourages you to attend the Wednesday, January 21 public hearing to share your views on the state of the environment and to identify environmental issues applicable to Fairfax County. The public hearing will be held at 7:30 PM in conference rooms 2 and 3 of the Fairfax County Government Center.
Environmental issues considered by EQAC include water quality, air quality, noise, hazardous materials, solid waste, stream valley protection, wildlife management, light pollution, visual pollution, climate change response and adaptation, energy conservation, land use, transportation and the use and preservation of ecological resources. While the timing of the public hearing tends to coincide with the timing of the publication of EQAC's Annual Report on the Environment, the public hearing is not intended to focus on the Annual Report but is instead intended to hear your views and concerns regarding environmental issues of interest to you.
Full hearing details can be found on the official page here: http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/dpz/eqac/publichearings/
