Join Stream Link Education to plant trees along the Monocacy River at Rivermist Park in Frederick, MD.
This particular planting site has been overtaken with Japanese Hops, a nasty invasive species that kills trees and is creating a harmful monoculture (single species). This plant prefers direct sunlight and does not tolerate heavy shade. This invader will cease to be a problem with the shade from the tree canopy that we create!
Help plant native trees to protect our local waterways and create biodiversity. All ages are welcome! More information can be found here.
