What the heck is the REI Thingamajig? It’s a community gear swap in a beer garden with live music. Yes, that’s right: you can buy/sell/barter/trade used gear with other outdoor lovers while you listen to live Appalachian music and sip on craft beer in an outdoor setting. Oh, and the music is produced by Living Classrooms, our friends behind the Kingman Island Bluegrass and Folk Festival. That means that the bands will be killer AND a portion of the entry price goes to support their amazing work providing supplemental environmental education to DCPS students. Sound awesome? We think so too.
Tickets are $7 with $2 going to support Living Classrooms.
