Anacostia Watershed Society is working to restore the wetlands on the shore of the Anacostia River. This Wetland Workday may involve planting wetland plants, repairing fencing, or removing debris. Most work is done by standing in the river while wearing waders, so this is a truly unique experience!
Physical requirements: This event will involve digging, lifting, bending, and walking long distances and is not suitable for children or those with health issues.
What you need: Boots or waders must be worn for the duration of the event.
A maximum number of 20 people may register for this event.
