Due to the rather unpleasant weather forecast, we have decided to cancel tomorrow’s Get Nuts for Clean Water event.
Unfortunately, due to the lengthy permitting process required, we will not be able to reschedule this event. Our next volunteer event will be in honor of the Martin Luther King Day of Service on January 16, 2016. You can also check our website at potomac.org/events for our events and a list of some really great opportunities with our partners.
We are honored to be back at Arlington National Cemetery Getting Nuts for Clean Water at our second Growing Native event of the season!
Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds are welcome to help collect native tree seeds in this important national site and home of three of the nation's newest champion trees! These seeds will go to local nurseries that grow trees for streamside plantings across the region. Not only will you be creating forests for tomorrow, you will also learn more about the important connection between healthy, forested lands, and clean waters.
