Partner Event: Stop the Snakehead Fishing Derby!
- Pennyfield Lock Potomac, MD 20854 United States (map)
Maryland's Department of Natural Resources wants your help to raise awareness and reduce the negative impact of snakeheads in our local rivers! This free spring event will feature raffles, giveaways, and prizes.
Snakeheads have spread into the Potomac Gorge, throughout many tidal rivers in the Chesapeake Bay, and were found reproducing in the C&O Canal last year. Learn more about the northern snakehead and how they're threatening our native fish.
