Potomac River Life Exhibit at the Athenaeum

  • 201 Prince Street Alexandria, VA 22314 United States (map)

If you love the beauty and grandeur of the Potomac River and want to know whether its revival will continue, please join Hedrick Belin, President of Potomac Conservancy, and Nancy Stoner, President of Potomac Riverkeeper Network, for a discussion of what the future holds for our hometown river on Wednesday, July 20 at 7 pm at the Athenaeum Gallery in Alexandria.

Will the Potomac be cleaner or dirtier in 10 years? Will it be safe for swimming? How does climate change impact the river and the species that live in it? What are the biggest threats to the health of the river and those who recreate in it?

Those are some of the questions that Hedrick and Nancy will answer in this interactive panel surrounded by a juried exhibit of exquisite works of art on the Potomac River.

The exhibit will be open from July 14 through August 21. The gallery is located at 201 Prince Street, Alexandria, VA, and is open Thursday through Sunday, from noon to four each day. This is a free program.
