October (all month long!): Collect acorns that will become "Tomorrow's Trees"

  • Washington, DC United States (map)

Locations: Across the greater Washington, DC metro area during the month of October. Click on the map to find the closest drop-off site to you.

Help us reforest the Potomac River region!

The Potomac River’s health is improving but its progress is threatened by reckless deforestation. Extreme forest loss is leading to an increase in polluted runoff and destroying our natural defenses to climate impacts.

Thankfully, state forestry efforts are working on restoring the region’s forests and tree cover, but their tree supplies are critically low.

You can help! Tap your inner squirrel and collect acorns from local species in your own backyard and neighborhood. Find a drop-off site near you at www.tomorrows-trees.org/find-a-dropoff.
