Partner Event: REI Ghosts of the Potomac Fall Foliage Paddle at Mallow's Bay
- REI Washington DC 201 M Street Northeast Washington, DC, 20002 United States (map)
October is the perfect month to paddle through the "ghost fleet" at Mallow's Bay! Join REI on an autumn paddle around one of the Potomac River's hidden historical treasures: the WWI-era ship graveyard at Mallow's Bay.
Mallow's Bay on the Potomac River is home to a "ghost fleet" of over 200 partially submerged wooden vessels. These boats were built during World War I to carry supplies across the Atlantic Ocean, and when they outlived their life span, they were laid to rest in this serene bay in Nanjemoy, Maryland.
Tickets range from $130-150 and include lunch.
