Volunteers Celebrate National Public Lands Day
/September 28, 2013
Thank you to the 80 volunteers who helped us beautify and enhance the lands of the C&O Canal National Historical Park! Volunteers joined the nation's largest, single-day volunteer effort for our local, state and national public lands!
Hosted at Fletcher's Cove in Washington, DC and the River Center at Lock 8, volunteers removed more than 80 bags of trash, English Ivy and Japanese Stilt Grass from the shores of the Potomac. What a fantastic way to honor our public lands and inspire others to make a difference in their communities!
